Sarah Squirrel is a young grey squirrel who lives in the woods just outside town.   Sarah isn't a terribly dramatic squirrel, like some you may know.  She's very down-to-earth, but adventurous!  She has many friends and relatives living nearby, and she really loves her home among the trees!   Sarah's favorite color is blue -- like the blue of the sky!

Sarah's House

Sarah built her own house out of twigs and leaves and moss, carefully made to be strong and weatherproof.  Inside, she is safe and dry when it rains or snows.  She put some soft feathers and fur inside to keep herself all snuggly and warm at night while she's sleeping.

Sarah's Family

Sarah's mother lives in a big tree just up the hill, and she keeps a watchful eye on Sarah all the time.  Sarah's uncle Stanley lives just on the other side of the People Trail, and Sarah sees him every day.  Cousin Skip lives in the big tree down by the river.  Aunt Stephanie moved to town, and Sarah decides to pay her a visit one day.

Sarah's Friends

Sarah's best friend Sally lives in a tree just over the hill from Sarah.  They have known each other almost all their lives and they do almost everything together.  Sally's brother Sammy lives just a few trees away, and he is always willing to help with whatever project Sarah and Sally are working on.

Many other animal friends live nearby.   Robins  and Woodpeckers, Mockingbirds and Sparrows, Meadowlarks and Cardinals all stop and say hello when they see Sarah out playing.  She often sees Geese and Ducks flying high overhead, and sometimes they visit the pond near Sarah's house.  Sometimes Sarah even sees a few Deer moving quickly through the woods, and although she thinks they are beautiful, they rarely stop to notice the squirrels in the trees.
